German born designer Robert Geller launched his name bearing brand for Autumn/Winter 2007 in New York. Previously having worked for Marc Jacobs and Alexandre Plokhov for Cloak, his trademark style is quickly gaining notoriety as an emerging street luxury brand for men. Released for this Fall '08 is the Gellar backpack. Detailed in rich black leather, its technical appeal and design manages to stay subtle and extremely cross-functional. Remember when it was hot to floss a pair of 'Jellies' on your freshly manicured feet? It's amazing to me how times have changed and how plastic has reinvented itself into new fashion mediums. MELISSA PLASTIC DREAMS is a Brazilian based shoe brand known for its eco-friendly footwear, as well as equally noted for their hi-profile designer collaborations.

Their Fall '08 will include a collaboration with the Grand Dame of punk rock fashion herself Vivienne Westwood. The release will include a revamp on the Mary Jane model, from her original Winter '00 "Summertime" Collection. Since the beginning of summer we've been informed about a new Men’s and Women’s contemporary brand that's kept us curious. The line introduced as RTIFACT COLLECTION aims to blend street fashion with functional ready to wear apparel. The men’s line will include reversible windbreakers, consisting of waterproof nylon and gel print on one side and another having a clean-cut denim look. Women will be treated to custom hooded sweater vests and jacquard graphics. Rtifact will debut their Spring '09 collection coming up this September at Agenda. Direct from Vancouver, Canada are two young designers by the name of Kristian Hay and Cam Winter behind the VALIDUS APPAREL brand. Created in '07 the graphic designs are influenced by skate, hip hop, and music culture. Here's a preview of the Fall '08 line to drop shortly.


The LVMH Group present their 2008 viral campaign craftfully showcasing a portion of their 60 sub-luxury companies. Based out of Paris, France LVMH also known as Moët Hennessy • Louis Vuitton, is a prestigious French holding company, housing the largest luxury goods conglomerate initially merged in 1987. The advertisement is conceptualized in a world where perfection & beauty is everlasting and the powerful reign.

Ironically entitled 'Clubbed To Death', the original single was released in 1995 by the Australian genre-blending composer Rob Dougan, and re-released again in 2003 off his "Furious Angels" album. A complete dichotomy portrayed in this trip hop-classique captured in a '40s stylized video, which features the artist as the heroic protagonist.

We've taken notice on the amount of flavour-filled kicks for ladies as of late. Hopefully this spark of inspiration from brands and their selection of designer's continues. It goes without saying that the visibility of sneaker culture has increased dramatically within the last 10 years, and has given birth to numerous company collaborations and brands. With the industry generally being so male driven, ladies often have to size down to men’s styles to achieve their look of choice. Fortunately within more recent years companies have taken notice of women’s interest, and have started to cultivate select sneaker cuts, colors, & material usage.

We’ve had our radar on the newly launched footwear brand Milkshake based out of the NYC. STREET ART: The Graffiti Revolution

The first of its kind, this book is a historical account which documents the evolution of Graffiti, tracing lineage from cave paintings, to Parisian wall photography by Brassai, as well as the global phenomenon of Street Art initially popularized in the 1980s. Frequently drawn to horror movies, we're more than likely searching for all things 'freakishly odd'. We ended up doing a Wiki on super socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, otherwise known as NYC's "Cat Women", which in turn led us to discover MONT LA ROC . The young brand was created by it's designer Peter Garvey, and is based out of Australia.

The two t-shirts are from his latest collection, inspired by the 1968 George Romero cult favorite Night of the Living Dead , and la lovely lady 'Lioness' herself.

Reebok Freestyle x MTTM x Colette

We're a little late on this latest collabo, but here it is. Reebok has teamed up with the female street brand 'Married to the Mob' & renound French boutique 'Colette' to create an exclusive run of 300 sneakers worldwide. The model of choice is the Freestyle silhouette, which consists of a white patent leather upper adorned with the MOB signature lipstick print, red translucent sole, & back heel logo hits. With what seems to be a mixed review among many collectors, it hasn't stopped them from being sold out everywhere.
