SWATCH | GREMS LAUNCH
"STREET CLUB" WATCH



Originally founded in Switzerland back in 1983 under the guidance of Nicolas Hayek, the Swatch brand has become synonymous within the global pop culture community. We remember vividly back in the '80s when these color plastic time pieces made a stir among the art elite and your regular trendsters. Back then you could get your basic Swatch watch for as little as $40. Macy's had rows of cabinets filled with candy-like selections, including the artist collaboration series from such legends as Keith Haring, Vivienne Westwood and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac to name a few.

ADIDAS LAUNCHES "URBAN ART GUIDE"



Many of our R.A.W. readers know the fondness we have for Germany. Aside from having some of the illest beats and Bboys, this is just another good reason to add to our ever growing list. For those of us that are domestically bound, we can only hope that this user friendly application will catch on to be a worldwide movement...or at least in New York (hint, hint)

Adidas celebrated the launch of the highly anticipated Urban Art Guide this past March 20th, by hosting a media bash held at Hotel in Berlin, a night club set to officially open its doors this summer 2009. Based out of Berlin, the new mobile art guide is a free download via Itunes for iPhone users. UNKLE x FULLY FLARED RE-EDIT



Originally used for the end credits of the acclaimed Fully Flared skate video directed by Spike Jonze and Ty Evans, the use of the acoustic driven track "Heaven" by U.N.K.L.E. was used as the inspiration and backdrop to re-edit
a sequence of shots provided by the Lakai Skate team. The end result is pure perfection.

The music video will be released via Itunes and other digital outlets on March 22nd in the UK, and March 24th in North America.

RARE STUDIO IN TRIBECA| COLOR REMIX EVENT



Our philosophy is based on the idea that creative progress reinforced by network building is the key to success. The warm weather is starting to pop off, and we're taking full advantage. We kept things sweet this past Wednesday with the RARE Remix event. We teamed up with the multi-talented celebrity stylist Ruth Roche, and her RARE STUDIO team in Tribeca, to celebrate the anticipated launch of their Pureology Color Bar.

Supported by Rawthentix own rare groove selector DJ Nick Pepe and a crowd of media and select tastemakers the night was a success. Tasty bites and sparkling spirits were provided by Macao, with additional gift bag sponsorship by: Yours Truly Brand, Redken, Nancy Elle Wellness, Tribeca Beauty Spa, and Lucky (feat. the April cover with Jessica Szohr styled by Ruth).

"Ladies First" Capsule Collection & Party



Okay, so we realize that we have gone Hellz happy this week...but van you blame us?

The anticipated release of the Hellz x Stussy limited edition capsule rightfully entitled "Ladies First", officially dropped this past Saturday. After hearing and seeing this a few months back, we knew that this would be one to watch. The collection consists of three distinct t-shirt designs (one with rude boy inspired suspenders), a short sleeve hoodie, jacket with the words "Ladies First" across the back, with matching cropped pants and a tote bag. Best of all the prices are amazing, ranging from about $24-$60. You can't beat that!

We deliberately didn't post up anything knowing that legit images wouldn't become available until the final days. After all, we don't want to tease and keep you hungry when we can just give you the whole steak! In celebrating this momentous occasion Hellz x Stussy will be hosting a blow out affair this coming Tuesday, March 10th from 9pm to 2am at the Ecco Ultra Lounge in LA. DRIVE IN STUDIOS | Pro-8 Air Event



Playing a bit of catch up on our news and projects...

One of the latest PR events that Rawthentix/R.A.W. Creative Group was a part of, took place on February 26th at the renownd Drive In photography studio. The evenings focus featured the latest battery generator technology available to photographers called PRO-8 Air.

We won't even begin nor attempt to explain the complexity of this digital techo-babble, except to say the precision and lightening speed capabilities to freeze frame our dancers was out of this world. We teamed up with the good folks over at Drive-In to a provide a portion of the evenings entertainment festivities, which included food, drink and a female boxing match exhibition we're still scratching our heads trying to figure out. Nothing like witnessing two women throw down and slug it out. Thanks to all our F.A.M. who held it down- Wonder, Zero, Bam La Roc, Super Freeze, Dredel, Leo, Scuba, Static and B-Girl Smiles (Ney, Ney). HELLZ BELLZ| | "Culture Clash" Collection
Spring 2009 Delivery I



Okay I realize that yours truly has been a little behind in rocking out the posts. I've been trying to multi-task about 5 different things at once, including building the womens line at Special Sauce, and getting my hustle on with PR projects I got simmering in the kitchen. I need a clone of myself that I can give daily tasks to.

In the midst of all my confusion I realized that I didn't have the chance to drop the Spring 2009 collection from Hellz Bellz. I know, I know- I'm seriously about two weeks late on this new, but so be it. If I can redeem myself to you all (and in my defense) I did drop the good word with a SNEAK PEAK back in January. Ha! ha! so there...How you like them apples!

Anyhow on with the show....

The newest release to drop from Hellz is rightfully entitled "Culture Clash". Known for her edgy style, designer Lanie Alabanza once again brings a true punch of diversity with a bitch slap full of color! The Spring '09 collection will start with Delivery I to select retailers, which of course will include Sauce (Don't worry, I got you ladies!).

The line features a fusion of versatile cut and sew pieces including a zebra mesh jacket w/ contrast red lining (which I previously previewed), brushed french terry hoodie, the anticipated acid wash denim jacket with iconic broken bottle embroidered artwork on the back, as well as a variety of new graphic tees (my favorite being the Coco x Hellz), tank top and multi-colored leggings. NIKE iD|ROYALE DESIGN TOURNAMENT



For those of you that have a passion for sneaker design, now is your chance to bring your creativity to the table. Nike Sportswear has officially launched their Nike iD Royal Tournament. The event set up will consist of an in-store East vs. West Coast style competition, starting off with 2 divisions.

The first round will start off with a total of thirty-two competitors from each coast consisting of 16 invited local VIPs and 16 winners from Open Enrollment (8 from New York and 8 from Los Angeles). The fifth and final round will take place at 5:00pm (EST) on April 11th, 2009 at the Nike iD store in New York City, where the remaining Open Enrollment winners from each coast will go head-to-head with the remaining winner from the VIP divisions.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a $1,000 NIKE shopping spree, and a custom-made pair of Bespoke shoes. If you think you have what it takes to earn the royale title to be number one, head over to 21 Mercer Street (NYC) or The Montalban (LA) and register by March 10th. TERMINATOR SALVATION| TRAILER 2



Terminator SALVATION Trailer #2 has been released by Warner Bros. Its more thank likely safe to say that this is a sure bet for being a summer time hit. Get your popcorn and Ju Ju Bees ready kids- blockbuster mayhem is about to begin. T4 releases in theatres nationwide on May 21, 2009.

SYNOPSIS:
The protagonist John Connor is back this time as an adult in the fourth installation of the Terminator series. Set in the year 2018, Connor is fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. The future that Connor was raised to believe by his mother Sarah Connor is changed with the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares for its final showdown, both men must work together in order to get to the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
