Rawthentix is a street culture and lifestyle driven online blog, providing readers with the latest buzz worthy news related to trends and current events for astute tastemakers and globe trekkers around the world.

Initially founded in 2005 as a Creative PR Agency, Rawthentix was strategized and masterminded by its two founding partners who were fed up with the corporate overindulgence mentality within the music, fashion retail, and media industry. For them the current lack of progression and creativity within the already saturated market has spewed countless numbers of overzealous haters claiming to be down, but systematically know nothing.

With the combined work experience and credibility of over 30 years in the art, music, fashion, & dance community, it was only a logical progression for Rawthentix to spawn. Their knowledge and dedication toward cultivating a voice for street culture is their business, but is also engrained within their personal lifestyle as well.

Our marketing campaigns include collaborative projects with Burton, Red Bull, Upper Playground, Red Bull, Nike SB, and Oakley. Media and entertainment collaboration include Milan Entertainment, MTV/VH1 Networks, 'The Art Dump' (Chocolate installation), Red Bull, Pacha NYC, Bboy Ivan (Urban Action Figure), HEF (Fx Crew), KRS One, Fab 5 Freddy, N.E.R.D, Universal/Interscope Group, Much Music (Chum City), artists Barbara Tucker, Rufio (White Lights), Ryuichi Sakamoto (Smoochy), and of course our loyal F.A.M. and Special Sauce collective.

Rawthentix is not only a movement, but a Non-Traditional entertainment and street fashion agency, focusing on marketing initiatives, through an array of promotions that include: Live Event Productions, Brand Development, and Social Networking. We host an eclectic team of forward thinking individuals who live, breathe, & forecast trends In short, we will provide clients with groundbreaking concepts that will maximize brand image and public awareness.

It is our intention to bring readers thoughtful commentary, as well as the latest freshness to drop. If you are seeking a product review, advertisement, client consultation, or looking to connect, we'd love to hear from you. In the meantime frequent our site, leave a comment, and be in the know.

RESPECT,

Zebak & Lady Loch Ness

An Old World Classic...
With a side of RAW Flavour...

(Alchemia held it down with signature drinks
for over 3 hours)

Things have been so hectic for the last 2 months. Blame it on the fact that there aren't enough damn hours in a day to get everything done. Multiply that by all the different postulates and theorems that have been stewing in our brains, and square that by the erratic weather that we have had so far to call this a wretched summer, leading the RAW collective to develop a cocktail blend of not so friendly flu like symptoms!

Yeah... I guess you could say we've been a little stressed and feeling a bit lethargic, but as they say, "Time stops for no man"...

So we finally presented the Special Sauce opening party for the new Flagship Store in Huntington Village this past May 21st. It absolutely exceeded everyone's expectations. The RAW Creative Group spent over 3 months of planning this party for Sauce, handling all the behind the scenes activities, dealing with the 17 brands and sponsors, music/artist line up, as well as stuffing over 150 gift bags for guests. After about doing 25 of these things, we got restless sitting on the chair, then the floor and back again....we were seriously done! It all worked out for the best though, as the In-Store Mixer and a separate After-party that followed at the Artful Dodger Lounge went on all night long.

(About an hour & a half into the In-Store Mixer...
this is how most people looked)

SNAPS & LOVE TO HELLZ

Ummm...what can we say, except the fact that we are late on posting this up. We've been meaning to do this except we were held captive for the last month planning the Special Sauce Huntington Village opening party that dropped last Thursday. What a success. More on that separately. In the meantime we just want to give some serious 'snaps' to the Hellz posse for their support with the Queenz Arrive event and for shouting out your's truly. Thanks for being such great purveyor's of style and rogue class.

More goodness to manifest shortly...In the meantime be sure to visit
"What The Hellz" for the full read and to be in the know.

THE QUEENZ HAVE ARRIVED

This past Friday, April 10th we had the priviledge to team up with the talented artist Indie 184 and her first solo all-female street art and graffiti exhibition ""QUEENZ ARRIVE". All we can say was if you weren't their, you truly missed out on a a spectacular night. Along with Special Sauce, Rawthentix was on PR overdrive, and on hand stuffing gift bags provided by some amazing brand sponsors that included: Hellz Bellz, 123 Klan, Queenz Destroy, Metroplastique, Powerhouse Books and so many more to count.

The intimate setting at the McCaig Welles Gallery in Williamsburg packed out within the first hour, as guests had a chance to view the works from some amazing women like the original bad ass (in our opinion) herself Martha Cooper, Fafi, Claw$, Klor, Nina and Indie herself just to name a few. Our resident snapshot heavyweight Elixabet (that's "Red Sonja to us"- sorry girl you have been blessed with your aka) took charge in full paparazzi mode, documenting the evening with legends Henry Chalfant (Style Wars) and Charlie Ahearn (Wild Style). What a treat! We also had the chance to catch up with the always creative L'Amour Supreme and Steve (SB Wear Brand).

At nine o'clock the night was capped off with a his and hers surprise giveaway raffle from Special Sauce. Let's just say those who slept on taking their ticket were crying after. Visit the Sauce blog for details and pics. In all, the event was a success. We can't wait to see what Indie has up her sleeve next. Much respect to all fam that came through for the festivities. Peep a few shots below courtesy of Elixabet.

Otherwise visit the "QUEENZ ARRIVE" LINK for more snaps.

RARE STUDIO IN TRIBECA| COLOR REMIX EVENT

Our philosophy is based on the idea that creative progress reinforced by network building is the key to success. The warm weather is starting to pop off, and we're taking full advantage. We kept things sweet this past Wednesday with the RARE Remix event. We teamed up with the multi-talented celebrity stylist Ruth Roche, and her RARE STUDIO team in Tribeca, to celebrate the anticipated launch of their Pureology Color Bar.

Supported by Rawthentix own rare groove selector DJ Nick Pepe and a crowd of media and select tastemakers the night was a success. Tasty bites and sparkling spirits were provided by Macao, with additional gift bag sponsorship by: Yours Truly Brand, Redken, Nancy Elle Wellness, Tribeca Beauty Spa, and Lucky (feat. the April cover with Jessica Szohr styled by Ruth).

There are to many to mention but much thanks to a few of the following:
Tee (Trashbag Aesthetics), Indie (Kweenz Destroy) and Carrie (Turner PR) for representing, Wendy (Nitrolicious), and Sara (Farpitz), for their write-ups.

DRIVE IN STUDIOS | Pro-8 Air Event

Playing a bit of catch up on our news and projects...

One of the latest PR events that Rawthentix/R.A.W. Creative Group was a part of, took place on February 26th at the renownd Drive In photography studio. The evenings focus featured the latest battery generator technology available to photographers called PRO-8 Air.

We won't even begin nor attempt to explain the complexity of this digital techo-babble, except to say the precision and lightening speed capabilities to freeze frame our dancers was out of this world. We teamed up with the good folks over at Drive-In to a provide a portion of the evenings entertainment festivities, which included food, drink and a female boxing match exhibition we're still scratching our heads trying to figure out. Nothing like witnessing two women throw down and slug it out. Thanks to all our F.A.M. who held it down- Wonder, Zero, Bam La Roc, Super Freeze, Dredel, Leo, Scuba, Static and B-Girl Smiles (Ney, Ney). Additional props to Resource Magazine for the press coverage on their blog.

AN AESTHETIC BLEND OF:
R.A.W. x TRASH

A few months back, I had the opportunity to connect with Tara Fisher, otherwise known to devout Trashbag Aesthetics readers as the always boisterous "Tee". With ideals firmly planted and her ear to the concrete, Tee is armed with daily wit and countless cups of coffee. Having worked both personally and professionally within the entertainment and lifestyle culture community for over fifteen years, I've come across countless heads in the industry who are indeed sincere, while others who feel the need to claim their own worth and personal fame. For me, Trashbag Aesthetics represents the perfect blend of quiet "noise"- making a statement while all the while conscious of staying out of the limelight.

It was after many weeks Tee and I would have one of our endless discussions on a variety of topics ranging from politics, music, and fashion, the idea of my involvement with TBA emerged. Fast forwarding weeks later to now, Rawthentix readers can expect a periodic double dose and collaboration with Trashbag. Within the next few weeks (as soon as I get myself up to speed), you will find me (Lady Loch Ness) as a contributing writer dropping news, disseminating thoughts, as well as rants from the dome. To those of you who may worry about the existence of Rawthentix...no need. Our blog and philosophy is first and foremost. Although shrouded in mystery to most, Zebak lives in color and is always in motion. He is an intricate puzzle to our union, furthermore co-founder to the Rawthentix creation. Now, if I can only just sneak an image of him onto here as well...

ONE,

"LADY LOCH NESS"
