Rawthentix is a street culture and lifestyle driven online blog, providing readers with the latest buzz worthy news related to trends and current events for astute tastemakers and globe trekkers around the world.

Initially founded in 2005 as a Creative PR Agency, Rawthentix was strategized and masterminded by its two founding partners who were fed up with the corporate overindulgence mentality within the music, fashion retail, and media industry. For them the current lack of progression and creativity within the already saturated market has spewed countless numbers of overzealous haters claiming to be down, but systematically know nothing.

With the combined work experience and credibility of over 30 years in the art, music, fashion, & dance community, it was only a logical progression for Rawthentix to spawn. Their knowledge and dedication toward cultivating a voice for street culture is their business, but is also engrained within their personal lifestyle as well.

Our marketing campaigns include collaborative projects with Burton, Red Bull, Upper Playground, Red Bull, Nike SB, and Oakley. Media and entertainment collaboration include Milan Entertainment, MTV/VH1 Networks, 'The Art Dump' (Chocolate installation), Red Bull, Pacha NYC, Bboy Ivan (Urban Action Figure), HEF (Fx Crew), KRS One, Fab 5 Freddy, N.E.R.D, Universal/Interscope Group, Much Music (Chum City), artists Barbara Tucker, Rufio (White Lights), Ryuichi Sakamoto (Smoochy), and of course our loyal F.A.M. and Special Sauce collective.

Rawthentix is not only a movement, but a Non-Traditional entertainment and street fashion agency, focusing on marketing initiatives, through an array of promotions that include: Live Event Productions, Brand Development, and Social Networking. We host an eclectic team of forward thinking individuals who live, breathe, & forecast trends In short, we will provide clients with groundbreaking concepts that will maximize brand image and public awareness.

It is our intention to bring readers thoughtful commentary, as well as the latest freshness to drop. If you are seeking a product review, advertisement, client consultation, or looking to connect, we'd love to hear from you. In the meantime frequent our site, leave a comment, and be in the know.

RESPECT,

THE QUEENZ HAVE ARRIVED

This past Friday, April 10th we had the priviledge to team up with the talented artist Indie 184 and her first solo all-female street art and graffiti exhibition ""QUEENZ ARRIVE". All we can say was if you weren't their, you truly missed out on a a spectacular night. Along with Special Sauce, Rawthentix was on PR overdrive, and on hand stuffing gift bags provided by some amazing brand sponsors that included: Hellz Bellz, 123 Klan, Queenz Destroy, Metroplastique, Powerhouse Books and so many more to count.

The intimate setting at the McCaig Welles Gallery in Williamsburg packed out within the first hour, as guests had a chance to view the works from some amazing women like the original bad ass (in our opinion) herself Martha Cooper, Fafi, Claw$, Klor, Nina and Indie herself just to name a few. Our resident snapshot heavyweight Elixabet (that's "Red Sonja to us"- sorry girl you have been blessed with your aka) took charge in full paparazzi mode, documenting the evening with legends Henry Chalfant (Style Wars) and Charlie Ahearn (Wild Style). What a treat! We also had the chance to catch up with the always creative L'Amour Supreme and Steve (SB Wear Brand).

At nine o'clock the night was capped off with a his and hers surprise giveaway raffle from Special Sauce. Let's just say those who slept on taking their ticket were crying after. Visit the Sauce blog for details and pics. In all, the event was a success. We can't wait to see what Indie has up her sleeve next. Much respect to all fam that came through for the festivities. Peep a few shots below courtesy of Elixabet.

Otherwise visit the "QUEENZ ARRIVE" LINK for more snaps.

RARE STUDIO IN TRIBECA| COLOR REMIX EVENT

Our philosophy is based on the idea that creative progress reinforced by network building is the key to success. The warm weather is starting to pop off, and we're taking full advantage. We kept things sweet this past Wednesday with the RARE Remix event. We teamed up with the multi-talented celebrity stylist Ruth Roche, and her RARE STUDIO team in Tribeca, to celebrate the anticipated launch of their Pureology Color Bar.

Supported by Rawthentix own rare groove selector DJ Nick Pepe and a crowd of media and select tastemakers the night was a success. Tasty bites and sparkling spirits were provided by Macao, with additional gift bag sponsorship by: Yours Truly Brand, Redken, Nancy Elle Wellness, Tribeca Beauty Spa, and Lucky (feat. the April cover with Jessica Szohr styled by Ruth).

There are to many to mention but much thanks to a few of the following:
Tee (Trashbag Aesthetics), Indie (Kweenz Destroy) and Carrie (Turner PR) for representing, Wendy (Nitrolicious), and Sara (Farpitz), for their write-ups.

HELLZ x STUSSY Present:
"Ladies First" Capsule Collection & Party

Okay, so we realize that we have gone Hellz happy this week...but van you blame us?

The anticipated release of the Hellz x Stussy limited edition capsule rightfully entitled "Ladies First", officially dropped this past Saturday. After hearing and seeing this a few months back, we knew that this would be one to watch. The collection consists of three distinct t-shirt designs (one with rude boy inspired suspenders), a short sleeve hoodie, jacket with the words "Ladies First" across the back, with matching cropped pants and a tote bag. Best of all the prices are amazing, ranging from about $24-$60. You can't beat that!

We deliberately didn't post up anything knowing that legit images wouldn't become available until the final days. After all, we don't want to tease and keep you hungry when we can just give you the whole steak! In celebrating this momentous occasion Hellz x Stussy will be hosting a blow out affair this coming Tuesday, March 10th from 9pm to 2am at the Ecco Ultra Lounge in LA. We won't be their, but you might. Our loss is your gain. Dance the night away and show your support.

Available at Stussy Chapter stores and other premium streetwear retailers. Be sure to visit Sauce for the good word (hint, hint). In the meantime peep the nice, nice below.

POST WRAP UP:
AIRWALK "Breaking The Mold"

This past Tuesday the R.A.W. collective took time out to venture to the Hotel Rivington to hit up the Airwalk "Breaking the Mold" event. It was brick as a winter night could be, but we sooned warmed up when we entered to a mixer friendly crowd.

We met up with a few of our fellow crime stoppers Bam La Rock (R.A.W./Freshness), man in the know Brian S.(BSA Networking), photographer estraordinaire Elixabet (be on the lookout as you'll be seeing a variety of projects dropping from her), and Tee (Trashbag Aesthetics) for an evening of good talks and spirits.

Many thanks to the evenings resident at large, the gracious Carrie for hooking our crew up with a lighting speed entrance. Peep the wrap up images below.

FEATURED FIND:
FARPITZ x KAPOW WOW OBJECTS!

"Ms. Farpitz" otherwise known as Sara Zucker swung by and introduced herself to the Rawthentix fam during the opening of the new Special Sauce boutique in Huntington, NY. We didn't have the opportunity to speak with her very long (amplified speakers and a DJ booth don't make for an easy mix), but this fellow tastemaker is one to keep on your radar for sure. Pleasant from the get, her short yet witty blog commentary on street culture and fashion is a must read.

Sara make a BOOM!

Take for instance this little do-it-yourself number she created, based off newcomer brand KA/POW/WOW Objects. Currently available on the always trendy Pixie Market, these neck adornments are indeed one of a kind. Although not outrageous in price, they will run you between $99-$140. Otherwise you can be like Sara, get with the scissors, and cut up some of your old stretchy t-shirts. We say, its time to raid our closets, because the arts and crafts get down is about to begin. Big ups to you Ms. Zucker...keep it crafty.
