Rawthentix is a street culture and lifestyle driven online blog, providing readers with the latest buzz worthy news related to trends and current events for astute tastemakers and globe trekkers around the world.

Initially founded in 2005 as a Creative PR Agency, Rawthentix was strategized and masterminded by its two founding partners who were fed up with the corporate overindulgence mentality within the music, fashion retail, and media industry. For them the current lack of progression and creativity within the already saturated market has spewed countless numbers of overzealous haters claiming to be down, but systematically know nothing.

With the combined work experience and credibility of over 30 years in the art, music, fashion, & dance community, it was only a logical progression for Rawthentix to spawn. Their knowledge and dedication toward cultivating a voice for street culture is their business, but is also engrained within their personal lifestyle as well.

Our marketing campaigns include collaborative projects with Burton, Red Bull, Upper Playground, Red Bull, Nike SB, and Oakley. Media and entertainment collaboration include Milan Entertainment, MTV/VH1 Networks, 'The Art Dump' (Chocolate installation), Red Bull, Pacha NYC, Bboy Ivan (Urban Action Figure), HEF (Fx Crew), KRS One, Fab 5 Freddy, N.E.R.D, Universal/Interscope Group, Much Music (Chum City), artists Barbara Tucker, Rufio (White Lights), Ryuichi Sakamoto (Smoochy), and of course our loyal F.A.M. and Special Sauce collective.

Rawthentix is not only a movement, but a Non-Traditional entertainment and street fashion agency, focusing on marketing initiatives, through an array of promotions that include: Live Event Productions, Brand Development, and Social Networking. We host an eclectic team of forward thinking individuals who live, breathe, & forecast trends In short, we will provide clients with groundbreaking concepts that will maximize brand image and public awareness.

It is our intention to bring readers thoughtful commentary, as well as the latest freshness to drop. If you are seeking a product review, advertisement, client consultation, or looking to connect, we'd love to hear from you. In the meantime frequent our site, leave a comment, and be in the know.

LORENA DE LA TORRE- A/W 08-'09

So let's be honest, couture fashions are wonderfully bold & theatric, but often times unwearable. Fortunately we found the work of
LORENA DE LA TORRE.

Founded initially in 2005 by Spanish designer Lorena de la Torre, her first couture collection was showcased in Dubai's Park Hyatt in ’06, and in collaboration with Perles of Tahiti, a non-profit economic interest group. Torre’s current A/W '08-'09 is breathlessly constructed with sleek appeal for the perfectly coiffed urbane women. Combined with both masculine & feminine silhouettes, the muted color arrangement is Oooh! la, la! perfect. Rock out during the day with one of these forward minded looks added to your dark denim, sneaks, and accessorized with that favorite oversized bag. For those party nights, pair up with some pumps, leather or satin bottoms, & clutch. We suggest a bold color, sure to make traffic stop instantly. Currenty available in the UK, Spain, & Greece through select retailers.

MILKSHAKE is not your ordinary float

It goes without saying that the visibility of sneaker culture has increased dramatically within the last 10 years, and has given birth to numerous company collaborations and brands. With the industry generally being so male driven, ladies often have to size down to men’s styles to achieve their look of choice. Fortunately within more recent years companies have taken notice of women’s interest, and have started to cultivate select sneaker cuts, colors, & material usage.

We’ve had our radar on the newly launched footwear brand Milkshake based out of the NYC. Specifically catered for la femme’s, the ’08 line features 3 distinct styles cheekily entitled ‘Bloom’, ‘Disco Fresh’, & ‘Thought Bubble Collection’ feat. the animated 1930s pop icon, Betty Boop. A fourth line entitled ‘Retro City’ is brewing in the laboratory for Spring ’09. Visit MILKSHAKE to view the entire line & store locations.

Stay afloat, as we will keep you in the know.

MONT LA ROC

Frequently drawn to horror movies, we're more than likely searching for all things 'freakishly odd'. We ended up doing a Wiki on super socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, otherwise known as NYC's "Cat Women", which in turn led us to discover MONT LA ROC . The young brand was created by it's designer Peter Garvey, and is based out of Australia.

The two t-shirts are from his latest collection, inspired by the 1968 George Romero cult favorite Night of the Living Dead , and la lovely lady 'Lioness' herself.

Reebok Freestyle x MTTM x Colette

We're a little late on this latest collabo, but here it is. Reebok has teamed up with the female street brand 'Married to the Mob' & renound French boutique 'Colette' to create an exclusive run of 300 sneakers worldwide. The model of choice is the Freestyle silhouette, which consists of a white patent leather upper adorned with the MOB signature lipstick print, red translucent sole, & back heel logo hits. With what seems to be a mixed review among many collectors, it hasn't stopped them from being sold out everywhere.
